Franklin, TN | January 3, 2015

I’m notoriously slow at posting photos to Instagram. So appropriately, I’m going to make up for months and years of neglecting this blog by posting all my old photos!

January’s Instameet brought us to historic Franklin, Tennessee! We began in the familiar downtown area and began to make our way off the beaten path.  I had a roll of Ilford HP5 Plus loaded in my Nikkormat FTn, a nice black and white 400 ASA film. I stuck with my Nikkor SC 50mm lens.

Instameets are great fun and you get to meet a lot of cool, creative people in your area. And folks always appreciate getting film shots taken of them. Work on your portrait game. As much as folk scoff at Superia 400 for being the stock they sell at Walgreens, it is a great, versatile film that I will always have in my belt. But it is great fun shooting multiple stocks and learning their strengths.

Shoot film.
